The Vidyalaya primarily is the epitome of National values being nurtured among he upcoming young people of the country. The Vidyalaya came into existence in 1990 as a primary school under the auspices of Gandhi Samarak Nidhi on 2 acres of land in the village Hastsal, near Vikas Puri under the guidance of the founder Chairman, Sh. B. R. Kamrah, a noted Gandhian. The Vidyalaya has grown gradually and steadily to the present stature of a Senior Secondary affiliated by CBSE with all the streams of education. Sh. Mangat Ram Singhal who is the former cabinet Minister, Delhi Government & President of the Delhi Gandhi Samarak Nidhi is the present Chairman of the Vidyalaya. It’s a matter of great satisfaction that the Vidyalaya has excelled in educational pursuits both in academics, sports and human values to add. Our children have bagged umpteen prizes and awards at the local, Zonal, Inter-Zonal and even National levels competing with the present scenario of education we have been trying to attain higher standards in education under the continuous guidance of the dynamic & competent educationist Mrs. Shashi Tyagi, the Director and the founder Principal of the Vidyalaya . It is needless to mention we are equipped with highly competent faculty and with latest state of art infrastructure & technology.

In 1962, Rashtra Shakti Vidyalay was launched. With the student teacher ratio being 27:1 the primary medium of instruction is English. The school takes pride of its excellent teaching methodology.
